New spiritual movements as autonomous religiosity of Iranian young adults

New religious converts experience many ups and downs before after conversion acquire a new alternative understanding of religion religiosity. The paper seeks to examine their spiritual experiences converting NSMs answer this question: what factors led the emergence such transformation in life? For purpose, we examined narratives people who had converted Iran using narrative interviews analysis methods. findings show that as imposition official superficial interpretation religion, deprivation one's personal social life, distressing encounters with evil, search for meaning all brought about changes people's loyalties. We also identified most meaningful aspects studied NSMs, these promoting "Autonomous Religiosity" over "Heteronomous Religiosity".
